Register as a Chat-United member? Follow these steps:

To register as a member, click here: REGISTER.
Fill in your name, emailadres and password, and all mandatory fields. Do not forget to enter the control-code on the bottom of the page. Do not forget to agree on the conditions, otherwise your registration can not be processed.
Notice!!!! Not all characters are allowed in a chatname on the chatserver. The characters that are not allowed will automatically be blocked on your registration.
Also notice the first page when registering, where we ask you to enter your birthperiod (before or after a certain date). The choice you make on that page, will determine whether your registration is handled immediately, or whether it needs parental consent (CU is a chat for ages 13 and up)
After entering all information and sending in you membershiprequest you should be aware, you are NOT yet registered.
With sending in your information, our forum has sent an eMail to the provided eMail address (make sure you use a valid and active eMail address in order to be able to receive our validation mail.)
Once you have received your validation mail (make sure you check spamfolders and unwanted mailfolders as well) , you will find a validation URL to our forum. By clicking on that url (or copy-paste in Internet Explorer) you validate your membership and you will be transfered to our forum, where you will be logged in as a member. From this point forward you can enjoy all Chat-United services.
If our validation mail should not arrive, please visit our helpdesk on opening hours, or use the webform for feedback so we can help you validate.

Creating/Altering a Chat Profile can only be done when logged in on either chat or forum
|
You can create your profile on the forum. Follow this link: PROFILE and you will enter your profile-content. Some of the fields have allready been filled due to your registration. Do not forget to select your gender, if you wish to have either a male or female head in chat. Once you have entered your additional information, you will return in your own profile information. You can also modify your profile when you are in a chatroom. Click on your own profile in the room en choose the option you desire (change profile or change photo).
Want a photo in your profile?
When you are modifying your profile information, on your left you'll find the option: Change your personal photo. Click here. You can upload a photo to an original size of max 100 Kb.
As mentioned, you can add or replace your photo when you are in a chatroom, by opening your own profile en pressing the desired button.

Login on our website (login as a member)

| Log in on our website is only possible when you are a registered member. Registering is free, so there is no reason not to register. Click on the button Login on our website. A loginscreen will appear, where you can enter your name and password (same as used for registering as a member). If you press the OK button, you will return to the page from where you pressed the login button. If your login was succesfull, the login button has changed to a logout button and you are welcomed by name. As long as you do not logout, the website will recognise you as a logged in member. If you want to chat with 2 different names, make sure you have 2 registered accounts and login one of them. Once you have entered a chatroom with that name, you can open a new Internet Explorer and logout the first name. Then login the second name. As long as you do not hop your first logged in name, this will work. Once you leave

Guests on Chat-United can take a look around on our chat to find out if the chat lives up to the expectations

When you want to check out Chat-United, you can enter our chat as a guest. However, every roomowner may decide for his/her own if guests are welcome in their room. Click in our roomlists and choose the chatroom you wish to enter. There are various categories from which you may choose.
Once you have selected a room you will be given a guest-login screen where you can enter a chatname and gender. After clicking ok, you will enter the selected room, but your name will be automatically extended with the Guest_ prefix. If Chat-United lives up to your expectations, feel free to register at any time by following the steps described above Become a member of Chat-United, so you can create your own personal chatname and profile.
